The way we run engagements
You own everything from day one
The repository, the cloud accounts, the domain, and the IP sit in your organisation's name from the first day, with us invited in. We do not hold infrastructure on your behalf and hand it over at the end.
This matters more than it sounds. Most of the outsourcing horror stories that circulate come down to a client discovering they cannot access their own systems when a relationship ends. Structuring it correctly at the start removes that entire category of risk.
It also keeps us honest. If you can leave easily, we have to earn the relationship every month rather than rely on the cost of switching.
We work inside your process, not alongside it
Our engineers work in your repository, follow your branching model, and open pull requests that your team reviews. We do not maintain a parallel codebase and deliver in batches, because that pattern hides problems until they are expensive to fix.
Where you have no process yet, we bring one and document it as we go, so it belongs to you rather than to us.
Your engineers stay close to the architecture throughout. An offshore team that becomes a black box is a liability the moment the engagement ends.
A defined overlap window, and writing things down
India and the US share few natural working hours, and pretending otherwise is why offshore relationships fail. We commit to a fixed overlap window for standups, reviews, and decisions, and protect it.
Outside that window, work runs asynchronously. Decisions get written down, context lives in the pull request rather than in someone's memory of a call, and questions get batched rather than blocking.
Clients frequently tell us the documentation discipline this forces improved their own internal practices. That is a genuine side effect rather than a sales line.
We will tell you when you do not need us
We regularly advise clients that their requirement fits within standard Shopify rather than Plus, that their existing store needs optimisation rather than a rebuild, or that headless architecture would cost them more than it returns.
That advice has lost us work. We think it is the reason the clients we do keep tend to stay for years rather than for one project.
If a brief looks like it will not produce a good outcome, we would rather say so at the proposal stage than discover it together at month four.
