Scalable, fast backends require senior engineers who understand distributed systems, database optimization, and security hardening. Our Node.js developers in India build production-grade APIs and microservices that power high-growth startups globally.
We are not a freelancer marketplace. We are a premium offshore engineering agency with proven processes.
Pre-vetted engineers ready to join your Slack and GitHub within 72 hours of agreement.
Mandatory 4–5 hour daily overlap with your EST/PST or GMT team for real-time collaboration.
You own every line of code from day one. Strict NDAs signed before any discussion begins.
Daily standups, weekly demos, and full Jira/GitHub visibility. No surprises, ever.
Every developer has 3+ years of production experience. We do not staff junior engineers on client projects.
Scale your team up or down on a monthly basis - no long-term contracts or termination penalties.
The single most revealing Node question is about the event loop. Not the textbook description — what happens when a request handler does something CPU-bound. An engineer who has debugged a production Node service knows that one synchronous JSON parse over a large payload blocks every other request, and can explain what to do instead.
We also probe error handling in async code. Unhandled promise rejections, errors swallowed in callbacks, and processes that die silently under load are the most common causes of Node services that work in staging and fall over in production.
Beyond that: connection pool sizing, backpressure on streams, and graceful shutdown. These are unglamorous and they are what separates a service that survives its first traffic spike from one that does not.
Node makes it easy to start without structure and very hard to add structure later. We push for clear boundaries between HTTP handling, business logic, and data access from the first week, because untangling them at month nine is a rewrite.
Framework choice matters less than people argue. Express, Fastify, and NestJS are all reasonable; NestJS suits larger teams that benefit from enforced structure, Fastify suits performance-sensitive services, Express suits small surfaces where you want minimal opinion. What matters is picking one deliberately and applying it consistently.
On data access, we favour explicit query construction over heavy ORM magic for anything performance-sensitive. ORMs are fine until you need to understand why a query is slow, at which point opacity becomes expensive.
Missing observability. A Node service without structured logging, request tracing, and error aggregation is one you cannot debug under pressure. We set this up early rather than adding it during the first outage.
Unbounded concurrency. Node will happily open more database connections or outbound requests than the downstream system can serve. Connection pooling, queue-based work handling, and explicit concurrency limits prevent a traffic spike becoming a cascade.
Dependency risk. The npm ecosystem is enormous and much of it is unmaintained. We keep dependency counts deliberately low, pin versions, and run automated vulnerability scanning in CI as a matter of course.
